SimCity? You may be reminding yourself what it is since it’s been almost a decade since the last release.
SimCity gives you ultimate control in creating and managing a world you personally design. Not only will you be able to control individual Sims, you will also decide what buildings to create, businesses to run, and entertainment hotspots for your sims to flock to. The success or failure of this simulated ecosystem rests on your shoulders! Now with multiplayer interaction, your friends that build in your region will also be affected by your every decision!
SimCity will be introducing revolutionary simulation technology, GlassBox. With GlassBox players will have “the power to impact individual Sims lives, manage city level simulation, and balance multiple city simulations at once. Experience city level simulations including power, water, traffic, unemployment, taxes and much more. ” This technology allows SimCity to be more than just a simple build and plot game; The Sims in your regions will have needs and requests for which they will communicate directly to you. Ignoring your Sims could be detrimental to your society and infrastructure. This is “city planning at an epic scale!”
After being M.I.A. for so long, SimCity Creative Director, Ocean Quigley, and Lead Producer, Kip Katsarelis, are working hard to make sure that this reboot lives up graphically and mechanically to the players wants and needs. A lot has happened in the 9 years it has been gone, so if SimCity is unable to meet our expectations it might leave future generations saying, “SimCity, who?”
SimCity is expected to be released sometime next year, 2013.
