TVLine is reporting that HBO has cut actress Paz de la Huerta from their hit television show Boardwalk Empire.
Originally introduced as a love interest to Nucky Thompson (Steve Buscemi), Paz de la Huerta’s character “Lucy” quickly spiraled down society as a pregnant mistress to FBI agent Nelson Van Alden (Michael Shannon).
“Lucy” was last seen in the episode “Peg of Old” when she went out to get milk for the baby.
Paz de la Huerta’s character is the fourth to not return in Season 3 after Michael Pitt, Dabney Coleman and Aleska Palladino’s characters were killed off towards the end of Season 2.
Boardwalk Empire is expected to HBO in September.
