Zoe Kravitz has joined the Harry Potter spinoff film series Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
The first film in the new series hits theaters November 18, 2016, and stars Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Ezra Miller, Colin Farrell, and Alison Sudol. Kravitz was reportedly added to the cast after production began and has a small role in it, but will have a bigger role in the sequel. The sequel is already slated to be released November 16, 2018.
The film, set seventy years before the events in the Harry Potter books and movies, follows wizard and magizoologist Newt Scamander as he visits New York where some of the dangerous and magical creatures in his briefcase escape, creating much chaos.
Kravitz recently appeared in Mad Max: Fury Road and The Divergent Series: Insurgent. She is also set to star in the new HBO comedy series Big Little Lies.
