This past Saturday, Taylor Swift made a surprise trip to Brant Beach Yacht Club in Brant Beach, N.J. to celebrate the marriage of one lucky bride and groom, Kenya Smith and Max Singer – who are huge Swift fans.
The “Shake It Off” singer was able to accomplish the mega surprise with the help from the groom’s sister, Ali Singer.
“As it was happening, I just looked at [Ali] and she had that smile like she knew what was going on,” Max told Access Hollywood. “And I clearly didn’t, so I knew she had something to do with it.”
Back in April, Ali wrote a letter to Swift, explaining how her brother, Max wed his wife, Kenya, in the hospital so that their mother would not miss her son’s wedding before she passed away. Swift’s “Blank Space” was the mother and son’s first dance song.
Swift performed her 2014 hit, “Blank Space”, on piano during the reception and took photos with the newlywed and guests. “Congratulations Max and Kenya!!” Taylor wrote on Instagram. “Third wheel.”
The wedding guests were equally as surprised to see a huge pop star at their family event.
“So Taylor swift showed up to my cousins wedding… #Surprised,” a family member shared on Twitter with video of the performance. Another guest added, “REMEMBER WHEN TAYLOR SWIFT CRASHED MY SISTER’S WEDDING.”
