Not only is Drake projected to break sales records with the surprise release of his latest album If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, he is also smashing Spotify records.
Spotify announced Tuesday that the album set the record for most streams of an album in its first week with 17.3 million streams in just three days. That number broke the previous record of 15.8 million streams, which was also set by Drake for his previous album Nothing Was the Same.
The album also set the record for most streams for an album in one day in the U.S. with 6.8 million streams on Saturday, February 14.
If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late is set to sell about 500,000 copies this week.
