‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Contestant Makes History with Amazing Guess

Matt DeSanto must have been feeling lucky during The Wheel of Fortune on Friday. The operations manager from Pennsylvania not only shocked host Pat Sajak with an incredible guess, but also brought home the most money in the show’s 39-year history.

It all began when DeSanto solved a 13-letter, three word puzzle with just a single “E” on the board. The hint was “Character” so DeSanto made the incredible guess of “The Lone Ranger” within seconds of the puzzle appearing.

The answer was correct!

I don’t want to cause trouble at home, but I think there’s a connection with you and Vanna,” Sajak joked.

DeSantos would continue his streak by correctly solving ever other puzzle for the remainder of the main game.  He would rack up a show record of $91,892 in winning, reportedly the biggest main-game winner in the show’s 39-year history.
