Check Out The First Close-Up of the Millennium Falcon

Bob Iger Fortune cover

Disney CEO Bob Iger has chosen this month’s issue of Fortune magazine to unveil the new and improved Millennium Falcon from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The so-called “fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy” made its debut in Star Wars: A New Hope, piloted by the unlikely duo of Hans Solo and Chewbacca.  Both Harrison Ford (Hans Solo) and Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) have signed on for The Force Awakens, but it’s unknown if the pair will be making a reunion on the Falcon.

Last month Lucasfilm released a teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens on YouTube. The teaser gave fans a brief glimpse of an updated Falcon, but nothing as detailed as what Forbes photographed.

Thanks to Lucasfilm’s special effects division, Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), and Forbes Magazine we have our first close-up image of the Millennium Falcon.
