‘Paranormal Activity 5′ Gets A New Release Date

The next installment in the Paranormal Activity franchise has been given a new title and a new release date.

Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, formerly titled Paranormal Activity 5, was intended to be released a few days before Halloween on October 25, 2014. However, Paramount has decided to move up the sequel to a March 13, 2015 opening, as well as horror comedy Scouts Vs. Zombies from March 13 to February 20, 2015.

The thriller sequel will battle against Warner Bros.’ Heart of the Sea and Disney’s live action Cinderella, which are both scheduled to premiere on the same date.

Scouts Vs. Zombies is directed by Christopher Landon, who wrote the last four Paranormal Activity films and directed the last spinoff, Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones. The film stars Tye Sheridan, Logan Miller, and newcomer Joey Morgan as the three scout members who must save their town from a zombie outbreak.

The film will be competing again McFarland, USA, high school comedy The DUFF, the Sean Penn thriller The Gunman and the Natalie Portman western Jane Got a Gun.
