A spokesman for the daughter of iconic radio host Casey Kasem revealed that the host’s unburied body still remains at a funeral home in Tacoma, Washington, two months after his death.
Danny Deraney, a publicist for Kasem’s daughter, said the children from Kasem’s first marriage hope he will be buried at a Forest Lawn cemetery in Glendale, California as he wished.
Deraney claims that Kasem’s second wife, Jean Kasem, holds the rights to his body but has yet to arrange for him to be buried. Scott Thompson, spokesman for St. Anthony Hospital, says Kasem’s wife collected the remains of his body, but had no knowledge as to the arrangements she made.
Kasem passed away on June 15th at a hospital in Washington State after being pulled form life support. Kasem suffered of Lewy Body disease.
