Eminem and Spike Lee both took to social media over the weekend to confirm that the duo will be teaming up for the “Headlights” music video. The album, produced by Rick Rubin and Dr. Dre, includes singles “Berzerk,” “Rap God” and “The Monster”, with the latter featuring Rihanna.
The rapper posted a photo of himself on Instagram with Lee on April 5th, writing “Spike came out to The D for the “Headlights” video… Coming soon.” Shortly after, Lee confirmed the collaboration by posting a similar photo with Eminem. He wrote, “Detroit’s Finest EMINEM And Me Working Together On His Short a Film. Historic. Who Woulda Thunk It.”
“Headlights” was released in February and has become the latest single off of Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2 album, which came out back in November. The emotional single, featuring Fun. singer-songwriter Nate Reuss, is Eminem’s way of apologizing to his mother, Debbie Mathers, for the past.
Tickets are on-sale for Eminem’s The Monster Tour, and is co-headlined with singer Rihanna.
