Justin Bieber is blaming food poisoning as the reason for having to cut his performance in Buenos Aires short last night. It is the second time the Biebs has had to cut a show short during his troubled South America tour.
According to manager Scooter Braun, the food poisoning was so severe that the pop star had to spend eight hours on an IV drip prior to the show. Even though doctors advised him to cancel, Bieber didn’t listen.
Prior to his performance, Bieber posted a “selfie” on his Instagram account of him receiving intravenous fluids.
“I’m not feeling too good, I think I’m out of energy,” Bieber told the audience as he blew them a kiss and walked off the stage with his head hung low.
Mixed feelings were felt within the crowd inside Buenos Aires’ River Plate stadium as they erupted in both boos and applause as the singer walked off the stage. Even though Bieber performed on stage for nearly an hour, not all fans were pleased with the announcement. Some attendees had paid up to $320 to watch their idol perform.
Bieber’s next performance is scheduled for Tuesday night in Santiago. There has been no word on whether Bieber will postpone Tuesday’s date or if he has plans for a make-up show in Buenos Aires.
