Lisa Robin Kelly, best known for playing the role of Laurie Foreman on That ’70s Show, has passed away at the age of 43. Kelly had been staying at a rehab treatment facility in California when she died in her sleep Wednesday night.
“Unfortunately Lisa Robin Kelly passed away last evening. Lisa had voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility early this week where she was battling the addiction problems that have plagued her these past few years,” her manager Craig Wycoff told FOX411. “I spoke to her on Monday and she was hopeful and confident, looking forward to putting this part of her life behind her. Last night she lost the battle.”
After her tenure on That ’70s Show, playing the role of Eric Foreman’s sister, Kelly battled substance abuse and was involved in numerous legal battles, most recently being arrested for suspicion of drunk driving on June 23.
In an interview with ABC News, she opened up about her drug addiction.
“I had lost a baby,” Kelly said. “As a result of that I lost it. I lost everything and I was abusing alcohol.”
This past June, Kelly filed for divorce from her husband Gilliam, citing irreconcilable differences.
