Ron Burgundy has decided to write a memoir about his love life, career, memories about his beloved dog Baxter and how to always “stay classy.”
Channel 4 News Team’s Ron Burgundy, played by Will Ferrell in the 2004 comedy Anchorman:The Legend of Ron Burgundy, is offering a rare glimpse into his life of never-been-told tales in a memoir called ‘Let Me Off at the Top!: My Classy Life and Other Musings.’
‘Let Me Off at the Top!’ will be published by Random House’s Crown Archetype, but the book does not feature a writing credit from either Adam McKay or Will Ferrell, who co-wrote both the original 2004 comedy Anchorman:The Legend of Ron Burgundy and its 2013 sequel Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.
Burgundy released a statement about his memoir saying, “I don’t know if it’s the greatest autobiography ever written. I’m too close to the work….I will tell you this much: the first time I sat down and read this thing…I cried like a goddamn baby, and you can take that to the bank!”
The long awaited sequel, Anchorman 2, is said to feature cameos by the original cast, Kanye West, Drake, and Kristen Wiig, who will play Brick’s love interest. No more lamp loving for Brick.
‘Let Me Off at the Top!’ hits shelves on November 19th a month before the sequel, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues hits theaters on December 20th.
