Irish rockers Two Door Cinema Club have released the music video for “Handshake,” the newest single off the band’s sophomore album Beacon. In the video the band enters an odd, alternate reality where their decapitated heads are used as bowling balls.
Beacon has been the band’s most successful album to date, peaking at #17 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Prior to the album’s release, Two Door Cinema Club released a four-part documentary titled What We See on their YouTube page. The documentary follows the band while touring throughout Europe, prior to the release of their second studio album.
“We wanted to capture how weird it is, the constant traveling, meeting so many people, all the interviews and shows we do every single day, and we also wanted to capture how normal our lives are too – we all sit down for dinner together, we go for walks the three of us, we get our washing done. Those things bring the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle back down to earth,” lead singer Alex Trimble said in an interview with NME.
