The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has announced the performers and presenters for the upcoming Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony on April 18 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California.
This year’s class of inductees include the late Queen of Disco Donna Summer, Heart, Albert King, Randy Newman, Public Enemy and Rush.
Jennifer Hudson and Cristina Aguilera are scheduled to perform in memory of Donna Summer who passed away last year from cancer. Rockers Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters will induct Vancouver-based band Heart. The Eagle’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Don Henley will induct singer-songwriter Randy Newman.
Albert King’s induction will feature a speech by John Mayer, followed by a performance by Mayer and Gary Clark Jr. This will be one of the first times Mayer has sang publicly since recovering from surgery to remove a throat granuloma two years ago.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will air on HBO on May 18 at 8 p.m. CST.
