30 Rock star Alec Baldwin has signed a two-year deal with Universal Television to develop, produce, and possibly star in a new television series for the studio. During his tenure at 30 Rock, Baldwin won two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.
Baldwin is following in the footsteps of his 30 Rock co-star Tina Fay after she recently signed a four-year deal with the television studio.
The deal ensures Baldwin will continue to be involved in television. Before the deal the 30 Rock actor mentioned he may leave acting to live “more of a normal life” and possibly pursue a political career.
The series finale of 30 Rock airs January 31.
