Columbian funnyman John Leguizamo has signed on for two new projects, according to Deadline.com. The 48-year-old actor has agreed to play roles in Ridley Scott’s (Gladiator/Prometheus) upcoming film The Counselor and Jeff Wadlow’s (Cry Wolf/Never Back Down) Kick-Ass 2.
In the Cormac McCarthy (All The Pretty Horses/No Country For Old Men) written film The Counselor, Leguizamo will play the role as a low level drug dealer. He will be joined by fellow actors/actresses Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Penelope Cruz and Cameron Diaz in the film.
In Kick-Ass 2, the sequel to the 2010 black comedy superhero film, Leguizamo will play the role of Javier, Red Mist’s bodyguard. Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz and Nicholas Cage will all return in their respective roles.
