Country singer Billy Ray Cyrus will make his Broadway debut in “Chicago”.
The 50-year old “Achey Breaky Heart” singer will play the role of a criminal lawyer named Billy Flynn for a seven week stint starting on November 5th. “I love acting, I’m always up for new things” said Cyrus, but he gets a little nervous thinking about it. Cyrus isn’t the first celebrity to play Billy Flynn, Usher had the role back in 2006. Cyrus has a few skills up his sleeves to prep him for the Broadway stage since he was a former Dancing With the Stars contestant back in 2007 and acting along side with his daughter Miley Cyrus in Hannah Montanan for five years.
Cyrus is busy currently working on a new album and tour for this up coming year. As well as walking his daughter to the alter soon. Cyrus will also be releasing an autobiography called ” Hillbilly Heart” next April.
